with Jörg von Manger-Koenig (Lawyer, former General Counsel of Nobel Biocare, today Counsel at Kellerhals Carrard). General Counsel of Nobel Biocare, today counsel at Kellerhals Carrard)
In sport, changing sides is a guarantee of balance and fairness; in a professional career, it offers new perspectives and experiences.
Jörg von Manger-Koenig has seen both sides in his professional career. He has 30 years of executive and management experience in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology and medical technology as General Counsel and Head of Regulatory Affairs. He has worked at Roche Vitamins, Berna Biotech, most recently as EVP Legal and Compliance/Group General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Nobel Biocare. Today he is a consultant at Kellerhals Carrard and advises on legal, compliance, regulatory affairs, quality management and general management issues.
We talk to him about his experiences as in-house and external counsel and discuss with him, among other things:
- what one side could or should learn from the other;
- what he recommends to someone who is considering changing sides;
- how he envisages working together in the future and what he would like to see in the training of young lawyers.
